Facilitating a learning experience is an opportunity to provide others with the chance to discover something: about the content, about themselves, about others. Whether you're a coach providing a hour and a half introduction to a coaching technique or concept, or a facilitator guiding a group through a multi-day learning experience, the design of that offering greatly impacts what your participants will take away from their time with you. Careful consideration of not only what you include, but how you share it will help ensure that those you work with feel engaged, included, and respected.


My design & facilitation offerings, grounded in the learning-centered approach advanced by Global Learning Partners, will provide you with the tools & techniques needed to consistently design and facilitate meaningful and engaging learning experiences. An Introduction to Design & Facilitation

a complimentary consideration of basic guidelines for effective design & facilitation

This introductory session will explore some core concepts to guide your design & facilitation - think of it as a few of my favorite things when it comes to designing & delivering an engaging learning experience. If you're looking for a few basic tips to get you started with design & delivery, then this is the session for you.

Basics of Design & Facilitation

an exploration of six core principles for learning using a dialogue education approach


All learning experiences, from 30-minute sessions to full day workshops and beyond, benefit from having an intentional design. This learning experience explores a model put forth by Global Learning Partners, holding up six key ingredients necessary for creating space for "ah-ha" moments.

This session provides opportunities for group learning, small group & partnered reflections, and solo time to consider how this flexible model can help guide your own design process.

Design & Facilitation Intensive

the foundations of dialogue education (licensed through Global Learning Partners)

The Foundations of Dialogue Education course, developed by Global Learning Partners teaches proven strategies and techniques for designing and delivering learning experiences that are engaging, relevant, and psychologically safe for adult learners. During this four-day, highly interactive learning experience, participants will analyze the basics of adult learning, practice using design tools and strategies, design & deliver a short learning experience, and create a plan for bringing their learning into their own professional container.

In-person group learning & coaching intensive: 4 days

Successful completion of the course will result in a certification as a "Certified Dialogue Education Practitioner" by Global Learning Partners.

Design & Facilitation Coaching

Mentor coaching partnerships are open to all facilitators seeking to refresh or enhance their facilitation and/or design skills. I have been designing and facilitating group learning experiences for over 30 years, and bring this rich experience to my mentoring. My facilitation and design style is heavily influenced by my work in dialogue education, an approach that brings an intentional design that encourages engagement, safety and inclusion. I have been certified as a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher (CDET) with Global Learning Partners since 2002, and trained as an experiential educator for almost thirty years, cultivating an approach to facilitation and design that consistently creates meaningful opportunities for discovery.
